All of my clocks begin with an idea that gets quickly drawn into a pocket sized sketchbook. This later gets blown up on the copy machine, and tightened up into the concept drawing. These drawings, while more detailed, follow the feel of the original very closely. And when I cut my clocks from brass, I very accurately follow my drawings.
This is a print of the finished concept drawing for what will be my next mechanical piece. I'll probably begin creating this one in October or November of 09. I'm going to make this one significantly larger than my previous work, so I need to save up for some materials and re-tool my workshop to cut larger gears.
This poster is 18 x 24 in size. It is offset printed with a dark, warm colored ink on 80 lb. off white paper. Each print is signed and numbered.
