Now that the actual clock is finished, it's easy to think that this drawing came after the clock. This is, in fact, a very tight concept drawing of my ninth quartz, and I followed it very close when I constructed the final piece. The style used here takes me back to my CCS (art school) days, since I usually don't have a need to draw this tight anymore. It was great for me to put my two dimensional skills to use again!
This rendering was done on a cream colored strathmore paper.
The paper size is 13 x 19, but the actual drawing is 5 x 13 1/2. This should give you plenty of framing leeway.
